I posted this in the swap meet section, and thought I’d post it here as well.

I bought a very nice Winchester model 69A bolt action .22 rifle over the weekend at the WACA Midwestern show in Ohio. Based on Jeff’s (JWA) excellent model 69 book, I was able to identify the rifle cataloged as a model 6901 (Type 8). It does not have the rear dove tail cut, has the 80A rear peep sight and the hooded front sight.  The rear 80A rear sight is missing the peep disc, and washer.  I would like to buy the disc and washer pieces if anyone has any to sell.

Thanks,

Al

Just a heads up when searching on the internet for a Winchester  80a peep sight there is a site called Christmas-Discount Store that has one listed on there sire with the correct pics for sale for 75 dollars, this is a scam and fraud site, Don’t fall for it. Feel free to share this with others to prevent them from being scammed.

As a further “caveat emptor”, try to buy Winchester parts from a known WACA member, then double check.

All else being even, there is a better than even chance that you will get your part(s) without being scammed. I assisted a member in Denmark last year.
