Sell your tang sight and find a correct Lyman #103. That will solve your problem. I have one on my 1916 vintage M1894 38-55. Big Larry
That would solve part of the problem yes! I still need to track down a Lyman #6 flip down rear sight as well. And I do like the tang sight that is on the rifle currently, but the #103 as you suggest looks great as well!
