Saw this today on eBay. I don’t have anything to do with the listing. I don’t see ivory blade front sights often. I suspect they might have been more easily damaged than German silver or copper.
This one shows signs of the base being re-blued. What are thoughts from the gallery?

I saw that one but I didn’t like the base and how the ivory was staked in there.

I had a 73 with an ivory Rocky Mountain front sight. It was thinner and was just slipped into a regular sight. No additional punch marks. I sold it at an auction along with 5 other guns to buy the 73 with the scope. Randy Saba bought it. But that was many years ago. The sight did not letter.
