I am just wondering the reasons why the Winchester line of shotguns is so unpopular and what the problems are with them. Thanks,
You need to be more specific about which specific Model want information about. Generally speaking, nearly all of the Pre-1964 Winchester shotguns are desirable guns (with the exception of the Model 1911).

I’ve owned Winchester shotguns for hunting and defensive purposes for over 40 years with no problems. I’ve recently begun collecting some older examples and found many of them to be very desirable. I generally use Browning Citoris for clay bird games but when I step up with one of my old Winchesters it doesn’t hold me back and it’s generally a lot of fun. I even use a fairly modern Winchester riot gun now and then for a round of skeet.
If Winchester shotguns in general have performance or desirability issues I certainly haven’t encountered them. Would you care to elaborate about the problems you’ve encountered?
