I have a Winchester model 12 trench gun made in 1943.  It is an origonal gun with proper markings and cartouche.   It is missing the butt plate and every model 12 plate I’ve tried is slightly too small.  Any ideas or suggestions where to get correct butt plate?

Slightly too small is precisely how Winchester made them.  The butt plate should be slightly undersized to the wood.
