I have a chance to buy a model 12 trench gun. Born 1921. I know model 12 trench guns were made for WWI and WWII but am in wonder if were made between wars.

Why do you believe it is a “1921” production gun? Most of the DOM lists found in books and on the internet contain erroneous information.

Whether it’s a 1921 gun or a 1917-1918 gun, no Model 12 trench guns were made during WWI or between the Wars. Winchester thought about making them during WWI and I believe produced a prototype, but they never went into production until WWII.
