I just paid a grand for a 95% (or better)1960 Model 12 in 20ga w/ a 28” Modified barrel. Quite honestly I think I may have paid a little bit too much. I’d pass.

Just checked the Red Book, I stand corrected. Apparently I stole another one at the Orphanage. Oops.

Can’t tell if it’s a lighting issue but there appears to be a blemish in the finish in the pistol grip area.

Are you expanding into shotgun collecting now? Cross-addiction is the logical progression of addiction. Believe me, I know
Haha no it’s for a friend Steve. He asked my thoughts on price but I’m not experienced in shotguns enough from a collector standpoint to give him an opinion.

Be careful, Rick. You pick that little 20 and swing it around a bit you may look at it a bit differently. It’s pretty lively. I’m not a shotgun collector either. I can quit any time I want to.
All kidding aside if this gun doesn’t feel right to your friend he can wait for a better one. There seems to be more than a few moving around now and more than a few are probably as nice as this one. Winchester made nearly 2 million M12’s, he’ll find one he likes if he keeps his eyes open. I stumbled upon mine several days ago and an even nicer 12ga back in June. Can’t promise he’ll be able to steal one like I did but I’m proof even a blind hog can find an acorn now and then.
