OfflineConcur. CSC has all the Winchester tooling and fixtures and can build one from scratch.

OfflineDoc, You might try Gun Parts Corporation if you haven’t already.
However, I think that is a long shot. According to publicly available press releases, in 1994 when USRAC sold to CSC the machinery, tooling, drawings, intangibles and all manufacturing rights for the 21, it also sold CSC whatever parts inventory the Custom Shop had on hand at the time.
Therefore, unlike all other instances I know of (except the bulk sale in 1981 by WW to USRAC) wherein WW or USRAC ceased production of a gun, they did not dispose of remaining parts inventory in the open parts market.
The same press release claimed CSC would be the sole repair station for all model 21 shotguns, including those made by prior rights owners. Eliminating the seller as a future competitor.
From that, we can conclude CSC regards the parts and repair business as a profitable enterprise for which they paid a price.
My hasty research indicates only about 30,000 of the Model 21 were made before 1959 and then about another 1,000 were made through the Custom Shop until 1994 and the sale to CSC. That is not much production to generate any sort of used parts market from parted out guns.
In fact, given (1) the market value of an old Model 21 in any shootable condition; and (2) the inherent strength of the Model 21’s design: I think in the end you will likely have to deal with CSC or do without.
I would like to be wrong because I recently got one, too. If you find a parts source, your fellow Model 21 owners would be grateful to know about it.

OfflineDoc, I overlooked the obvious, although I don’t know whether it would be cheaper than CSC. There are some skilled gunsmiths still capable of determining the nature and strength of the steel required, who can make and fit the small parts you need.
A shaft and a screw are not difficult to make. The half-moon piece might have to be filed to shape. Some hardening might be required or not. But it wouldn’t be rocket science for a gunsmith skilled at metal working with a reasonably equipped shop. They exist but not under every bush.

OfflineZeb and Doc, Not knowing much of the model 21, I did look at Jack First gun parts. They list a rather extensive number of screws, springs and other parts. None are cheap. Many are new manufacture. They often have parts no one else has. Some are from salvage, but many are made new in their shops.

PS. Some years back I got replacement parts for a Browning B-2000 that weren’t available elsewhere.

OfflineTim, I’d forgotten Jack First –and you’re right on both counts. He has stuff others don’t and he’s not cheap.
Although, as a manager of Ray’s Hardware was famous for saying, “They’re always cheaper if you ain’t got any.” Ray’s usually had three under the counter.
I needed a genuine 3276/M sight hood for my Model 71. Jack got it done for a C-note. Which doesn’t seem so bloodthirsty now but in 2002 it stung.
