Hey, ive got an older but very nice condition Winchester 1200 shotgun, it has jeweled bolt, and red rubber pad, Serial 421719. would like to hear about possible date made ect.

It’s very nice but I’m missing the Barrel and end cap. the tube is 12″ so was wondering what barrel i might need that would fit it.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Chris.  The receiver was serialized in April 1968.  It was likely assembled and shipped within the next several weeks.

Chris,

You might try Gun Parts Corporation. It has an online presence. I would also Google a Web search like this, “Winchester 1200 barrel for sale.”  And do a search on Gunbroker.com and on eBay.

I had to do the same for a barrel-less Model 1400 Trap Model years ago. The start of a ventilated rib was installed on the receiver. I’d guess that would be true for a 1200 as well, so you would have a clue whether you need a ribbed barrel.

There are barrel dealers at shows and on the Web.

You might want to consult the support folks at winchesterguns.com. That’s actually Browning but the site is dedicated to Winchesters. At least, they may have a current list of parts dealers. Phone is better than email if you want a quick reply.
