OfflineI got this old 1897 takedown model with the 3-screw forearm all taken apart and I’m trying to find out how to put it back together. There are two parts, one is a solid metal ring, the other one looks like a coil spring, both have the same inner diameter as the magazine tube, and I’m trying to figure out where are they supposed to go. Do they go inside the forearm? All parts diagrams I could find are for the later models with the longer action slide. Does anyone have any pictures or diagrams for the 3-screw forearm model?
Many thanks in advance!

OfflineThank you very much, Bert, this helps, but I’m not quite there yet. So I did identify the action slide spring, but where is this part supposed to be installed? If I just slide it onto the magazine tube inside the forearm, it doesn’t really do much. And I don’t see that ring in the parts list, it is the same size as the action slide spring but is a solid metal ring. What I’m trying to understand is what stops the action slide in its way forward.
