How rare is a model 40 skeet gun no poly choke is a sk1 gun 26 inch a buddy of my dad has it never saw 1 before this 1 it’s in 90% shape my guess don’t know if I can buy it what is a ballpark number on the price any ideas I don’t have pictures of it sorry

Almost any surviving Winchester Model 40 shotgun can be considered somewhat rare as very few of them were manufactured and sold.
What is the serial number on the gun in question?

I’m not sure if Greg D has ever posted up his numbers on this topic (rarity) but I’d enjoy seeing them! A true skeet model (deluxe as we’d call it nowadays) would be pretty “rare” indeed I’d imagine….
