Can someone please help me find a breakdown drawing for a 10 ga 1901. I have been shooting this one for a while with low pressure RST ammo and removed the two piece fore end to inspect the outside of the barrel. I was surprised to see a small relief in the barrel and magazine tube where the fore end screws pass through. Did Winchester do this?

Hello Al,

Yes, Winchester milled the relief groove in the barrel and magazine tube.  The was a common practice that was used on numerous models.
