I have two model 12’s. The 12 ga. has two barrels. One has a choke on it.

Both barrels and chamber have matching serial numbers (147839 ).

Also has leather case. The choke probably isn’t original , is it ?

I suppose someone having put a choke on it would make it less desirable

for a collector ? I have had it since 1970 , so the choke was before that.

I also have a Model 12 20ga. serial no. 746 . It also has a choke on it strictly co-incidentally.

Not original either ? Barrell without choke is 18.5 or 19 in.

The serial number you mention is several decades to old for it to have a factory installed Poly-Choke. Winchester did not offer them until about 1960.
