Hello, I’m hoping to find out more about what I’ve got. Recent pre 64 94 purchase made me pull the winchester shotty out of the closet.
Model 12 serial number 14095
20 ga ,2 3/4″ Cham. 25″ barrel with poly choke.
“mns cyl 22655 ” and vp in circle under barrel.
P W in circle on both barrel and receiver.
Wood doesn’t look like most model 12s so I assume that’s been modernized, high gloss curly grain.
Receiver is not all white yet, 50/50, barrel and tube are 75% blue.
Not sure sure how to add pics.
Curious of approx value of course.
Thanks,
Doug.
Doug,
You have a highly altered gun. The serial number tells us that it started out life as a Model 1912, manufactured in the early months of the year 1913. Accordingly, the barrel assembly now on it is many years newer than the receiver. Winchester did not make the change to a 2 3/4 chamber length for the 20-ga guns until 1926. The Poly Choke is an aftermarket alteration.
What you have is a “shooter” grade gun.
