I am looking at purchasing a Winchester model 12 20ga field grade shotgun that has three matching barrels; full, mod, imp cyl. Gun looks good the thing that concerns me is that the proof mark on the mod barrel is different than the rest. I would like know if this looks correct cause I have never seen it before.
Thanks
Looking at the picture closer there is the W P mark with no oval thats slightly over stamped by the P oval mark. The serial number matches the rest of the gun, but the spacing is different, would winchester applied the serial number when the barrel was ordered? Also how would this affect the value of this set?
