Good morning, I’m brand new to the forum. I was at an auction and picked up two model 12s that have been fully engraved. They are both full choke. I ran the serial numbers and they were made in 1956. I’m trying to figure out what grade they are and possibly a value. If there’s any way to do that online. I can post a couple pictures. Any information we would be greatly appreciated. Thank you![Image Can Not Be Found]
I highly recommend that you contact Pauline Muerrle to determine the authenticity of the engraving on the guns. She has the Custom Shop records for the time period in which the guns in question were manufactured.

Listen to Bert, engraving alone does not make for a valuable Model 12 or any other gun for that matter. Quality engraving tastefully done usually enhances value. USUALLY. Not always and poorly done engraving can devalue good guns. Factory engraved guns always bring a higher value, Pauline can help on that, in addition her okey dokey on the guns engraving is recognized widely. Absent the factory records her evaluation of the engraving means a lot.
