I have a semi automatic shotgun that has the serial number n1021700. When I bought it, it came with a Ranger model 120 smooth bore slug barrel. The other barrel is a model 140. From what I read they didn’t even make a semi automatic model 120. Do you have any idea what model my shotgun is?

Derric,

The serial number implies that it is a Model 1400 or Model 140. The Model 120 slug barrel is an extraneous item.

Thank you Bert for your help. So is the model 120 barrel a combo for this model, an accessory, or is that barrel from another model shotgun?

Derric,

As I mentioned in my first reply, the Model 120 barrel is an “extraneous” item… in other words, it does not belong with or to the rest of the gun.

Please consider this… Without the serial number, I would not have been able to answer your question. Additionally, posting the serial number on the internet (this forum) is not something to be concerned about. We have been posting serial numbers on this forum for 10-years without any issues. Furthermore, shotguns are not required to be registered in any state that I am aware of, so it is impossible for anyone who reads this topic to track you down.
