Been doing some digging and would love to find the estimated value of this gun. It has:
-U.S. stamped receiver
– flaming bomb & WB on barrel (41 on underside of barrel)
– SN : 925488
– WB and circle ordinance
will be uploading pictures shortly
I had a drippy mint M97 Riot just like this one many years ago. It even had the hand stamped flaming bomb on the bbl. Not the typical roll mark. I am anxious to see the markings as well. So far, all of what he has posted is true. These early M97 Riot Guns are very scarce with the factory swivels. Big Larry

The one picture is not good enough to evaluate the gun. Clear close-pictures of all the markings on the gun are needed before any value estimates can be provided.

Must not have uploaded correctly, would I be able to send them to you directly via email?
I actually received them via the information request you submitted the WACA Contact portal. I sent you a reply message to your request.

Thanks for posting photos of your Model 97. WWII martially marked 97 riot guns are not that common. And, as Big Larry mentioned, this variation with sling swivels is even more uncommon than the riot guns without swivels. This riot gun has all of the characteristics of the ones with swivels including the “US” only marked receiver, the open flame ordnance bomb mark on top of the barrel, WB marked stock, and the larger ordnance crossed cannons mark on the stock to the right of the WB mark rather than below it.

Tom, the one I had, I got out of Shotgun News. The moron who sent it to me, put no filler in the box, he just threw it in a box and shipped it. Unbelievably it didn’t get damaged. The shotgun was in as new condition. Never seen another like it. Sold all my US Shotguns and made a lot of $$ on them. Probably sold them too early. Still have that minty 1943 M97 Trenchgun, and I won’t sell it despite some real high offers. Big Larry
