I have a model 1920 20 gauge that was produced in about May 1913 according to the Cody Museum. This particular gun has a 20 inch barrel. According to the things I’ve read it shouldn’t have a short barrel. It shows no sign of ever having been modified. It is a takedown model. Can anybody tell me anything about this? I inherited this fine piece and don’t know much about it at all, except that it was used to feed the family during the depression.

It does in fact have a bead sight, which is exactly 9/16 of an inch from the muzzle.
David,
The barrel has been cut down after the fact, and the bead reinstalled incorrectly. I forgot ask what the choke marking on the barrel is? If it is the standard “FULL”, you can also measure the diameter of the bore to determine if it has any constriction over cylinder bore.
