Of all the pre 64 Model 12’s in 12ga is there one considered to be the best? Not the rarest but the best built?

i have three made in the early 50,s, a 12ga-16ga-20ga. i don,t know about the best, but they have been smooth working shotguns with out any problems after shooting many thousands of factory-reloaded shells.

Grant-

I’m a little partial to the early Black Diamond Trap guns but I enjoy shooting a “Y-Model” Trap gun. My most desirable Model 12 at the moment is a Skeet gun, mainly because I’m still looking for one I like. Only answer I have is any original gun with a rib and nice wood. Or maybe a riot gun. I suppose every Model 12 collector has his favorite but that will certainly vary. In the end, none of that matters, find the one YOU like!
