The small bore guns typically sell for more $$$ than the much more common 12-gauge guns. That stated, I do not consider $800 to be a lot of money for a "single shot" shotgun. I paid $2700 for an original Model 1885 high-wall 20-gauge shotgun more than 10-years ago.
