Sorry I can’t afford to join the whole group I got this gun from my papaw (grandfather ) my hero I  lost him and my dad in short period of time a little over a year it was grade one serial number is 333xxx it’s full nickel solid rib but has nice wood I was just wondering if it’s anything special or just something home made it’s clearly been reblued. Any info would help.

The stocks are not factory original pieces, undoubtedly installed when the gun was refinished.

Randall,

Maybe hang onto it, as you’re relatives that you stated owned it, and possibly refinished the gun, and has some sentimental value to it.

Randall-

It certainly was something special to the person who added the wood and possibly the rib. Unfortunately it’s not what most collectors are looking for. Was your grandfather a Trap shooter?

If I had this shotgun I’d never part with it.

Randall,

Sorry for your loss. Your model 12 isn’t factory work but is nice none the less.  As other’s have stated, I would keep it since it was your Grandfather’s.

A family gun that should get a workout at the traps. I think I saw mod on the barrel, that will work fine from the 16. Is it a 30″ barrel? That’s a handsome M12 and an M12 always has a home at the traps. Yours is unique..in a good way.
