Looking for advice on 1905 D 20 Inch Cylinder Bore Riot gun. Is it common to have different finishes from barrel and mag tube? IMG_4561-1.jpeg

What is the serial number on your Model 1897?

In answer to your question about the finish, both the barrel and magazine tube should be a high-polish rust blued.  It appears that the magazine tube on your gun has been replaced (or refinished).

Can you post (or send me) a clear picture showing the factory marking on the slide bar and the barrel?

Hi Bert, thanks for the quick response. SN is 310929 making it a 1905 or 1906 I believe. Has the steel buttplate, CYL bore, roll marks seem crisp, screw slots don’t seem to be molested extremely.IMG_0577-1.jpeg
