Hi all !
I just commented on a very old thread, but thought I would start a new thread.

I have accumulated 3 Winchesters in 32-40 and was wondering if there is there anyone in the US currently actually making the 165gr gascheck bullets ?
The mold is no longer available with gas check option.
I don’t cast myself.

So far, I’ve shot custom 32-40 using 170gr JFPs through 2 of the 3, and they shoot like absolute shit.
I want to hunt with at least one of these, and the barrels are worn as you’d expect, so I believe gas checked bullets would actually be perfect.
HELP !!!!

Buffalo Arms lists a plain base bullet, .321 diameter, soft 20-1 alloy. Currently out of stock. Have you slugged any of your barrels? The 32-40 is a great argument for casting.

Try Montana Bullet Works, they have a 165gr bullet, but no gas check.
