Model 24’s in my experience are solid and reliable and are of excellent craftsmanship. And they don’t come with a Model 21 price tag! By the way, in my “humble” opinion, the Model 21 is about the most overpriced vintage double out there. For what they cost, one can get a Parker, Fox, L C Smith, Ithaca, of higher grade or a low end British S x S. Again, just my observations. But I digress…the Model 24 is a bargain, even today!

Mine is 12ga. IC and Mod. I’ve never used a double trigger shotty before. Took some getting used to.

Many like a double trigger on a SXS better than a single trigger. For myself, I like the single trigger more.
Your Model 24 looks to be in excellent condition.Have you owned it for long?
Do not know for sure ,but I would think that IC/modified would be harder to come by than a full/modified in a Model 24.

Nice to hear you were able to bag some game on your hunt.Nice to use the Winchester shotguns in the field, like they were made to be used.Have never used a Model 24,but have seen them. What gauge and chokes does your Model 24 have?
nice shooting! I bought my Son the same gun, same year, in 16 gauge with double triggers. He won’t use any thing else. They are very well built & very affordable.
I’ve only had it a few months. Bought it on impulse from one of the few decent GB sellers for a reasonable price (at least reasonable for me here in Los Angeles, where, if you can find a decent old Winchester, it’s probably double what y’all are paying in other parts of the country).
It’s solid, points well and in great shape (loved, but used). Still getting used to the double trigger. I typically carry a Benelli automatic (I know, shame on me…) in the field, but there’s something special about carrying old steel and wood in the field.

Good for you.Nice to hear your son likes the old Model 24 so much. The 16 is a nice gauge that does not seemed to be used as much as it was in the past. What are the chokes on the 16 gauge Model 24?

Totally off-topic but that is one cool machine you’re hunting from! As a former police bike mechanic I’ve worked on a few wheelchairs but yours is something I’ve never seen. It appears to be a custom job but I guess it could have been modified to fit your requirements. How is it working out for you? Good battery life, charging options, transport, comfort and rough terrain handling? It looks like it will climb trees!

It’s a commercial product called “Action Track Chair” out of MN I think. Available in several configurations including youth and standing versions. It goes just about anywhere. I’ve never been past half charge in normal use. Has a charger built in. It has a gun rack and remote that I wired an extension to so I can drive it on and off the trailer from my normal chair.
Saved for a long time. Sold my beloved 65 Le Mans Convertible (post 64!) and had to forego a Winchester or two, but totally worth it. Trailer was extra. I added the lock box that holds my gear. Also can carry a generator to charge when camping and stuff. Still looking for solutions to enclose the trailer for long trips. Need to get out of SoCal for better game opportunities.
