OfflineI recently bought a Winchester model 92 and it is missing the magazine tube and all the parts that go with it. I am wanting to find one and don’t know where to start with knowing the length and what I need to look for. Also I paid $200 for this rifle and it is in decent condition and has a Carlos Rasetti stamp on the receiver. Would like to know what it may be worth and find out about the stamp on the side. Thanks

Is your Model 92 a Carbine or a Rifle? If it is a Carbine, which caliber is it? There is a difference in the diameter of the mag tube and the attaching hardware depending on the caliber, and the variation. The barrel length on your Model 92 will dictate the length of the magazine tube (assuming the original was a full length tube).

Jsbtl, Here’s a past link, with a little information, on Carlos Rasetti, as a firearms importer, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Who is Carlos Rasetti ? Any kin to Carlos Rosetti ?
Ed,
One was a Firearms International importer, and the other was a Wine Maker.
