Winchester model 70 XTR Sporter 6.5x55|Winchester Rifles|Forum|Winchester Collector

Hey guys I picked up what I think is a European XTR Sporter 6.5×55 sieral number G170xxxx witch puts it built in 1984 and around this period I know Winchester made the European featherweight and have read that they made a few sporters but did not catalog them.. and I know they did not offer the 6.5 to the American market until 90-91 and that was only in the featherweight which leads me to believe that I have a European gun.. anybody else have any info or have one basically just trying to find out a little bit more about it
