At the last NRA show in Pittsburgh, PA I mentioned to a Winchester rep. that they should bring back the Model 70 Winchester in .22 Hornet and .17 Hornet. The response was it would never happen! Friday at the NRA show in Louisville, KY I discussed the same idea with a Winchester rep., the answer this time was- we are getting a lot of requests for both calibers in the Model 70. We do not have a time line but it will probably happen!
The lesson is ask and get others to ask, anything is possible.!!!!!!

I have an original model  70 in .22 Hornet.

I’m with the ‘Won’t happen’ faction.  Your most conducive answer sounds like ‘stand by’.  I seriously doubt the market is there. But who knows!

Just my take
