Hey Guys, thanks for confirming…. So many nuances to collecting different things…. In this case installing a scope could degrade the value so much.

Dell, Do you know if your rifle came from Bill Beans collection. Bill just passed away on the 28th of February. I hear that the estate had already liquidated his collection. Bill had many Winchesters. Including some rare Model 54s, and Model 70s. The Winchester Model 54 Super Grade .220 Swift I recently saw for sell on Guns International I thought was your rifle. It was not. It is unusual to see a Model 54 Super Grade .220 swift. Never mind two at the same time.

I’m not sure, and I don’t know who Bill was…sorry. what I can tell you is that the guy that was selling it was a Civil War reenactor and said it did come from a recently deceased person. He also had a bunch of 22 rifles that came out of that estate. This was the only large caliber rifle I think he had.
