It really is a nice one, Jeff!I was thinking Big Larry had most all of the different model .22 rifles by now, but maybe he doesn’t. I noticed that there was a 1900/2(?) and a Thumbtrigger in the auction, too.
Have a great evening.

James, I am lacking a M1903, M1904, and a 22 caliber M1873. I am not out after the scoped 22 series. I also need a M69-A Target rifle. I have two M69-A Match rifles, one for trading. I also have two super nice M60-A Targets. One also for trading materiel. I took my newly acquired M06 out yesterday and it really shoots well and functions perfectly. I got one of the nicer ones. Nice ones are very hard to find. Big Larry

Thanks, but I is broke!! Big Larry
I are broke too!
Heck of a time to be broke, because this is a beauty, Big Larry, and it might be a coon’s age before you see one this nice again!!!
Man, that is a fine looking ’06 you have there! I really like it. Glad to hear it shoots and functions well, too.

There was a later one on Gun Broker a week or so ago. Composition buttplate and in 22 LR. Near as nice as the Julia rifle. I think it went for near $1,000. Big Larry
That would make it an “04A” versus a “1904”. To do it right (and add fuel to the fire), you will need a “1904”, an “04”, and a “04A”… same thing with the 1902, 02, and 02A.

That’s not going to happen. One representative each is enough. Not at all like a M69 and M69-A, or a M72 and M72-A. Nor a M62 and M62-A. I need to get back to my true love. Winchester lever rifles. Big Larry

OK… how about a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Variation Winder Musket?

Bert, I forgot about the musket series. DUH !!! I think a US marked one will be just fine. Thanks, Big Larry
You will need to stock up a decent supply of 22 Short ammo. There were 11,419 of the 3rd variation Winder Muskets that were shipped to the Springfield Armory, all in 1918 – 1919.

Bert, due to my disabilities, I don’t shoot much any longer. I have over 30,000 rds of 22LR in all types and mfgs. About 3,000 rds. of 22 long, and about 8 boxes of 22 short stashed away.I am having difficulty finding 22 Extra Longs. Last box I saw, went for $1,000 at Wards auction. I am waiting for Sportsmans Warehouse to get some 22 shorts so I can greedily buy all they get in. I already bought the last of the 22 Longs. I own over 75 22’s in all configurations. Not many, considering what JWA has stashed away.
Took my Ruger “Star” 9 1/2″ Super Single Six to the range today and had a bad go at shooting it. Arthritis is catching up with me. I could not hit anything with my friends two Colt Woodsmans either. Big Larry
