I have a Winchester Model 1890, serial number 418233(1909)

I was told its in 65% shape? Not sure what that means.  I was given quite a few old guns by grandpa and uncle and was curious what some of them were worth for insurance reasons.

The only way to come up with a close value is with pictures. The Model 90 that is in 65% condition does not mean much. It could mean 65% bright blue, 65% dull bull, 65% pantina or it could of been reblued and they all would have very different values. You need to take good clear close ups of the guns.
