I am bidding on a Winchester Model 1886 Lightweight Lever Action Takedown Rifle in 45-70 with a Nickel Steel Barrel. The rifle has a full length magazine tube and a 22″ barrel. What value should be placed on this rifle considering the pictures and information provided.
Thank you!

OfflineThe Nickel Steel barrel is not uncommon on the Extra Light Weight rifles in 45-70. What bothers me about the rifle is that the sights are not original. I agree that the current bid is at the top-end of the scale when you factor in the 21.5% internet buyers premium… $6,075 before shipping and insurance.
