It depends on which Model you are asking about, and when the specific Winchester was manufactured and shipped.  Prior to 1908, it is rare to find the shipping destination information.  For the Model 1873, Model 1886, and Single Shot, it is not uncommon to have the shipping destination documented on a factory letter for the years 1908 and later.

Thats makes sence Bert, its a 73 carbine, serial numbered in 1916 and shipped to Brown and Rogers in 1917

In the 73’s records they started to record the destination and who it was charged to at about 620,000 (1907) when they went away from the ledger book and started to use the 3×5 index cards for each gun.
