Yeah,
just got one of those, made somewhere about 1972 I guess (serial 3 754 000-range). If I did not count wrong, the barrel has 12 grooves. What kind of accuracy can be achieved from a gun of that era? The gun is in fine (over 90 %) condition and it has been shot only under 100 times (paid $ 350, so I think it was a good buy). The receiver seems to be made of that sintered stuff with some kind of plating under the blueing, because there are no polishing marks on the surface. Thinking to use this as an all-around woods carry gun, if I can get it shoot accurately enough (that means 2-3 inch group at 50 yards with three shots) to take a whitetail or a roe deer down. Does anybody have complaints or any experience at all with these .44 mag-94:s? Is it reliable (the carrier is quite funny-looking gizmo, very different from my .45 Colt-caliber Trails End model 94)? And finally, I would have added some pics, but just can´t figure out how to do it with this new forum´s options?
