Winchester 92 Rifle Rear Sight|Winchester Rifles|Forum|Winchester Collector

 Hello All;

I am a new member to your organization from Ontario Canada and thank-you for letting me join.

I am a senior now but many years ago I was handed down my Grandfathers Winchester 92 rifle. It is a round barrel ; 24 inches in length and in 44-40 caliber

The serial number is 519xxx. The rifle is in quite nice condition and has a buckhorn rear sight.

 The rifle when it was given me was absent the screw and insert for this particular rear sight and for that reason I never shot it with any accuracy.

Would there be anyone who could steer me in the right direction as to the size and thread of the screw and the insert? Or even better where I could obtain these items?

 I would now like to present this gun to my Grand Son and would like to have it complete when I do.
