Was it just the serial number that brought the premium or was there some other provenance?

This rifle was once in the Winchester collection. In 1991 it was sold. This was the second time that it has sold. Has the necessary paper work to verify. Since it was never sold to the military it lacked all of the military markings. I had a bid in on it for $6000.
