Hello, folks! New to the forums here. I have quite a few old Winchester Rifles and shotguns, but my most recent acquisition was a Mod. 1910. I had been looking at this gun in a pawn shop for over 3 years, and decided about a week ago that I was going to buy it if it was still there. I didn’t see it in the rack, and first thought that it had been sold, but when I asked the guy about it, he reached back and retrieved it. The old price tag had yellowed with age, and I knew that I could get them down from the 650.00 that was on it. I got it for 400.00! It’s in nice shape, and has a peep for the rear. A dovetail “plug” had been added to the rear-sight groove, and I had to look closely to see that. It just looked like a plain barrel. I am getting an ammo company to make me 40 new bullets for it. Should make a good “brush gun” for deer hunting next year. I also have 2 1873’s, with one being a 44-40 and the other a 32-20, and a 1892 38-40, several 1894’s in 30-30, and one a 32 Special, a Model 70 in .243, made in 1972. Great guns!…….Rick
Welcome! That is a neat rifle and I am sure you will enjoy it. As you develop your loads let us know what works best for you. I haven’t loaded the .401 yet and am curious as to your experience.

Thanks! Buffalo was the only company that would make the ammo for me, and they were waiting on some components, but my order is pending. Several other sites that once had ammo don’t seem to make or carry it any longer. I just want to zero it and hunt with it some next season. Probably won’t need much ammo from that point on.
