Just purchased an 1894 TD in 25-35, but with a 94 pencil barrel (ELW).

I know it’s not original 1894, but help deciphering what I actually have would be appreciated.

The barrel is stamped Model 94.  The markings on the bottom of the barrel are 25-35, a V and right next to it, possibly a 3, not sure, and then 36 (year of barrel, I believe) and another number or letter just sticking out from the takedown shoulder.  I would prefer not to disassemble the takedown shoulder to try and read what it is.

Both the barrel and receiver are stamped with the Oval WP.

I believe it is possible a rebarrel at Winchester as it does not have the Oval P on the barrel.  To me, worst case it is a parts gun.

Would love to post pics, but as a guest, I’m unable.

Thanks for any help,

Pat

Pat.

It would really help if you told us what the serial number is. You can send pictures to me at [email protected]

Just re read my original post and forgot to include some info, sorry.

Barrel length is 24 inches and is stamped with the Oval WP, it has a half mag.

I did not get the chance to review the pictures you sent to me before leaving for the office this morning. I will take a look at them later today (and post them fro you). I highly encourage you to register as WACA forum user (or better yet, sign up for a WACA membership).
