Bert, you have # 1050232 listed as a oct. bbl. rifle. It has in fact, a round bbl. Does not appear to have been messed with. Big Larry

Larry,

I most certainly do not have serial number 1050232 listed as having an octagon barrel ?  Where did you see that I have it listed ??

Matthew,

Ya gotta watch those old boys from Lufkin…especially if they are gun dealers and consulting the Blue Book of Gun Values!  Smile  Double that and your probably a lot closer to its market value!!Laugh

Sorry Bert. My 74 year old brain is fading. You are quite correct.   Big Larry

When I posted the list of Model 94 “Rifles” I had surveyed two years ago in April of 2015 (141 of them at that time), I did not include all of them that were > serial number 1,000,000.  As of today, I have (228) listed in the survey from serial number 1,000,000 (in the Cody Museum collection) through the rifle 166357.  The table below shows the caliber breakdown

Model 94 Sporting Rifle Cartridge Chambering Totals & Ratios
Model 25-35 W.C.F. 30 W.C.F. 32 W.S. 32-40 38-55 ? Total Take Downs
94 22 117 64 12 10 3 228 54
% of 9.65% 51.32% 28.07% 5.26% 4.39%     23.68%
