I am reaching out to see if there is any inherent value of a Winchester 1894 with a mannlicher stock above what a normal rifle would sell for. I’ve seen a few online that are floating around on commemorative edition guns specially one I am interested in is a NRA 1971 edition. I have a mannlicher stocked rifle collection and I think it would be a lovely addition but just wanted to check if it’s something that would be considered valuable/rare or add value to the gun. Thank you for any information and or opinions on the topic.

I gather by a Manlicher stock You mean a full ,(musket) style stock. A N.R.A. commemorative will bring substantially  more than a standard ’94 of 1971 vintage especially if it is still in the box with the paperwork, $1500.00- $2000.00

Henry,  Not to distract you but I would like your opinion whether the overall quality of the Model 94 Commemoratives increased from 1964 to the early Seventies, as I have observed the Model 70 did?  I have a couple of those, both made in 1980, that are as nicely executed as anyone could want.

I never cared for the fit and finish of the Commemoratives until They got to the Yellowboy in 1973 and beyond

These muskets are really not that desirable. On GB ones that sell sell for around $550 like new without box, one sold recently LNIB unfired for $655. Lots of others slightly more $, unsold.

But it is about the only way a person is going to get a ’94 musket.  An original one is very hard to come by Wink

To answer the OPs question, they can be had on GB for around $550-600 like new without a box. My friend sold his recently on GB, NIB unfired it got bid to $660. I think they are a nice looking gun. Maybe people would like them better if they did not have all of the NRA reference on the gun.
