Hello – I have a Winchester 32/20 -1892 model,short barrel (16″) rifle. The distance between the end of the barrel and the forward end of the magazine is 7″-3/8 inches. The serial number is 769678. I cannot find details of this specific gun any where on forums/websites. I would be grateful if any one could tell me more about the gun., its year of manufacture – it’s intend use etc.

Your Model 1892 was manufactured in August 1914. We will need to see clear pictures of it before commenting on the configuration of the rifle.

Send some images of the rifle to me at [email protected] and I will be glad to take a look. What is the shape of the barrel? Is there a ring on the left side of the receiver?
