I have a Win 94 Trails End 25-35 I believe was made in 2006 the year USRA Win closed their doors. First two digits of the ser # are 65. From what I have read 1953 was the last year Win produce 25-35 barrels for the 94. Also read the last Image Enlarger
25-35 rifles were shipped from WIn in 1954 from barrels produced in 1953. So then Win produced 25-35 94’s in 2006, & marked made in the USA, New Haven , Conn. As is the way my rifle is so marked. Go forward to I believe, 2014, & Win started producing new model 94’s made in Japan & so marked. My question to those more informed on these matters is: Does my 2006, 25-35 , because of it’s cal & the fact that it was made in the USA have any relevance as to it’s value as a collectable?

Dom,

Based on the minimal research notes that I have compiled to this point, the final Model 94’s manufactured by the U.S. Repeating Arms Company at the New Haven factory were in the 6589550 serial number range.

There were a large number of different calibers and variations that were manufactured in the final few years before FN pulled the plug and shutdown the old New Haven factory for good.  While those final Model 94s may someday become sought after collectables, they have minimal collector interest today.  I personally do not believe that there is a premium value for any of the many different calibers that were manufactured in those final years (e.g. 38-55, 25-35, .357 Mag, 44 Mag, etc.).  For what it is worth, s/n 6582881 is the highest serial numbered 25-35 I have in my notes, with a s/n 6589950 (a 357. Mag Trapper Large Loop) being the highest serial number I have found.
