I recently purchase a ’68 94 Illinois Sesquicentennial. Doing my research I’ve seen that they have a gold saddle ring. Mine does not. I’ve also seen most don’t have gold inlay on the receiver mine does. I was told it was original unfired. Is there differences between these guns? Thanks in advance!
Unfortunately, the Model 94 you purchased is not factory original. All of them as issued by Winchester has the gold plated saddle ring & stud, a gold plated loading gate, and the remainder of the receiver was blued (no gold inlay). If you purchased it advertised as “original”, you were not told the truth.
