I’m afraid I’m not much help here as the three letters I have which contain these annotations all are late 19th Century.

In the 73’s I’ve seen them in 1919

January 1920 for the Single Shot records.  At some point in early 1920, the ledger book records were all transferred from the warehouse to a different location.  Allegedly, Edwin Pugsley had the records moved to the Winchester Museum sometime in the early 1920s.

This is the ledger record entry for s/n 94323 with a “R.R 1/2/20”

I love that letter on the ’92 .25-20.  It sounds like a very cool rifle.

Is the checkering factory work?  It’s not mentioned in the letter.
