I have a model 1894 sporting rifle, octogon barrel, with a Cody letter dating it to 1897 production. It has become separated from the original stock and forearm. As I continue my quest to locate the original pieces, I’m looking to replace it with an original set of stocks. What years would fit, as I understand the early years were a little different? Thanks for any guidance.

Any octagon barreled Model 1894 (or 1892 in 38 WCF or 44 WCF) stocks will fit. There is no difference between early and late production.
