Unfinished Post 64 Model 94 receiver

Some years ago a gunsmith friend of mine gave me this unfinished Winchester Model 94 receiver. It appears to be a post 64 cast receiver with even the threads for all the screws already cast. The surface finish is somewhat rough including the bearing surfaces that engage moving parts. I don’t know where I got it from although it somehow came from the Winchester factory.
