Nice chambering and the rifle has some appeal/attractiveness (to me).  It’s not one for a purist collector given the sanding (most objectionable to me is the undersizing of the buttstock where it meets the receiver/tang.  The added swivels wouldn’t thrill a a collector either.  It has its positives as well given the alterations are not that numerous.  The condition isn’t at the top end, but not bad either.  Remember, gunbroker bidders often go crazy and many are low-information bidders.  Some will bid a collector price for rifles with alterations.  I’d be pessimistic it will sell for a reasonable price.  I could be wrong too – but I think the chambering and take-down feature will pull many bidders in.

There many be other aspects I didn’t catch.  One question – is that some sort of small stamping near the caliber marking on the barrel – or is it just some sort of roughness – like a vice mark?

I would pass on this one.  Poor wood to metal fit at tang and being refinished is definitely detrimental.
