Pulled my 4-1942 PR carbine down and found it has a “41” dated bbl. this is # 1327444 and is a 32 WS. My question is, did any of the 1942 carbines have “42” dated bbls. or were these last carbines put together with older parts? Thanks, Big Larry

Yes, a substantial number of the Model 94 Carbines manufactured in the year 1942 had “42” date stamped barrels on them. Most notably, all of the PCMR Carbines.
