Look at the barrel address and patent dates and the numerous breaks in the lettering. They did not leave the factory like this.
This is what I was looking at mostly other than the overall “brightness”…I was afraid to toss out an opinion but it seems I’m getting better at this (finally…maybe?) Yeah, they sure don’t list it as such! I’d still like to have it though, not gonna lie.

Here’s the direct link. Sure is nice condition plating….suspiciously nice? I’m not suggesting replating, just never seen one that…bright?
Why would you say that? Merely stored in a vacuum-sealed nitrogen chamber since the day it was built.
…and then sent to space for storage on the ISS no doubt!
This is interesting to me. Like the RIA carbine, I too have a 20 inch barreled, nickel plated M1873 SRC that letters. The difference between the two carbines? The one they have been re-nickeled and the one I have is original. Too bad mine is worth about $42,000 to $62,000 less.
I was also interested in their description – extolling the many advantages of nickel finish over blued finish.

Harry-
IMHO your gun is twice the gun in the auction. Gonna need a bucket.
