I have guns that letter with length and drop measurements, but what is cast? Is it a side offset? Does Winchester call it “cast”? T/R

I’ve seen it in search results for model 21 shotguns and maybe one rifle with very specific stock dimensions. I suppose if it’s available they’ll include it in the letter or search result.

Yes. Usually applies to shotgun stocks. Believe there was no extra charge for cast on a Model 21. Most extreme cast could compensate for having a dominant left eye.

They both letter with the amount of “offset” noted. I just don’t have the images on my “travel computer.” And the offset 1886 that I own does also. Again no pics. Sorry

I did some more digging and I did have a copy of the small section of the ledger for the Model 1892 rifle.
